~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Welcome! You have found the premiere prenatal yoga center of the area for the past five years! But, don't be fooled by our name. Yes, we specialize in helping moms-to-be, and love it, but we also offer Gentle Hatha, Mixed Level Hatha, Vinyasa yoga classes, as well as classes for those dealing with cancer or cardiac issues. We have something for everyone!
Our studio is comfortable and inviting. Because our goal is to help you relax, you can expect soft music, candlelight and a peaceful atmosphere to help bring things down a few notches. Out of respect for our students with allergies, we use an air purifying system to cleanse the air. All candles are scent-free. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prenatal (pregnancy)/Postnatal Yoga Safe, gentle, modified stretching to help tone and strengthen the muscles that are used for delivery. Great group of people, all in various stages of pregnancy. Lots of networking. You will love this class! Also appropriate after the baby is born the class can be used as a stepping stone towards returning to regular yoga classes and exercise in general, as well as give new moms a place to have an hour that belongs to them. We also offer Mommy's Time support group for new moms and their infants! See the "After the Baby" page for more details. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gentle Hatha Yoga These classes are appropriate for beginners and up. Breathing, stretching, lots of relaxation. A good starting place for those with absolutely no experience with yoga or those who are easing their way back into exercise. Interactive and fun! Light arm weights, straps and yoga on the ball offered periodically in this class. (Level I, II class.. for beginners and intermediate practitioners) Mixed Level Hatha This wonderfully relaxing class is a bit more meditative than the Gentle Hatha class and is offered by Cyndi Gaffney, who comes to the studio with 25 years of experience with meditation and yoga. Appropriate for those with very little yoga experience, those with years of experience and everyone in between. If you are looking for a more subdued experience, this is your class. (Level I, II or III class) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinyasa Yoga A beautiful, flow style yoga, Vinyasa is challenging, invigorating yet relaxing at the same time. A step up from the Hatha classes, this class is excellent for athletes or anyone who likes to work up a sweat! Offered by April Umek, herself a lifelong athlete. Up to the challenge? (Level II or III class) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our specialty is making yoga available to everyone through modification and education.
